About
Hello, welcome!
My name is Travis and you’re scrolling through my portfolio, thanks for checking me out!
Background
I’m a mechanical engineer with passions for entrepreneurism and technological development. My expertise is in hardware testing and design, especially for autonomous systems.
I’ve developed these interests and skills through the following experiences:
Working as a space lasers test engineer for Skyloom
Earning my MS in Control at UC Berkeley
Working as an owner’s engineer for a small company called Useable Products
Interning at NASA and The Aerospace Corporation
Earning my BSME at USC
I try to volunteer or play some sort of role in uplifting any community I am a part of. I was in Mexico when the COVID-19 pandemic spread to North America. I wanted to help my community as it grappled with the economic fallout, so I joined a humanitarian relief effort, which is work I am super proud of. USC wrote a feature about the work and my involvement in this article.
Summarizing my personality, I’d say I love the creative process and I love to work with others. That’s why I have so much fun in R&D environments and on projects like the USC AUV Robosub, the Interactive Data Glove senior project, CarBowl, and in the TechShop.
I am always open to new projects, so do not hesitate to contact me if you’d like to collaborate!
